What is This Global Health Epidemic That No One is Talking About?

As I write this, everybody is talking about the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic. Many people talk about the comparison to the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918. People are talking about the obesity epidemic and the type-2 diabetes epidemic, but no one is talking about the serious, underlying health condition that results from the ingredients in modern-day packaged foods and sweetened drinks that people around the world are consuming. These foods and drinks are causing a pandemic that currently effects between 1/4 and 1/3 of the entire population of the world. Estimates say that around 2.1 billion people in the world are afflicted by this disease, which is largely asymptomatic. There is no cure. There is no medication. There is no medical treatment or therapy, and left uncontrolled this disease can lead to death.

This pandemic far overshadows both the Coronavirus pandemic and the Spanish Flu pandemic. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that you may have this disease and may not ever be aware that you have it. One good thing is that it is not a contagious disease. You can’t cough or sneeze and spread particles of this disease into the air and make someone else sick. You’re probably curious by now and are wondering what this mystery disease is?

Before, I tell you the answer to that question, I will tell you that I have this disease. I have never had a symptom, and the only reason that I know that I have it is due to a liver enzyme test result from a routine laboratory physical after my gall bladder was removed. The disease that I am referring to is called NAFLD aka non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or NASH aka non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

“Currently, there are no approved drugs for the treatment of NASH.”
– FDA-US, 2018

“No specific therapy can be firmly recommended [for NASH].”
– EASL-EASD-EASO, 2016

There are ongoing studies that link the high occurance of this disease to the rapidly increasing use of high-fructose corn syrup as a sweetener in many foods and drinks. Before the use of this sweetener, the incidence of this disease was much less than it is today.

So how evil is NAFLD?
It’s this evil….

Your liver is one of the body’s underappreciated heroic organs.

Its function is crucial to healthy existence.

It converts the food we eat into usable nutrients,

It stores those nutrients, and facilitates their transport to other cells in the body when and where they’re needed.

It detoxifies our body by either by converting toxins into harmless substances or by eliminating them via our excretory system.

– ‘toxin’ is medical termiminology for ‘poison’ –

24 hours a day your liver filters blood, cleans it and then releases detoxified blood back into your body.

Wonder why no one ever thinks about our liver?

More importantly, our livers are thinking about us.

But if our liver can’t detoxify our bodies efficiently… then what?

When your liver is overtaxed, toxins build up.

So to prevent the toxins from getting into your blood – and kill you dead – your liver has a secret storage system for toxins.

It stores them in fat cells.

Fatty-liver disease is not really about the fat.

It’s about the toxins that are STORED in the fat.

In essence, fatty-liver disease should really be named “toxic liver disease.”

Could it get any more evil than that??

If you haven’t heard about this before, you’d better be sitting down.

There are four stages of fatty liver disease as it progresses:

  • Simple fatty liver disease:  built up toxins and fat in the liver that, in the beginning, can be fairly benign – IF it doesn’t progress. But if you don’t deal the issue… it won’t stay harmless.
  • Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH): An acute form of fatty liver disease indicated by inflammation in the liver. This is caused by not adequately dealing with your fatty liver early.
  • Fibrosis: The chronic inflammation at the NASH stage leads to gradual and steadily increasing scarring of liver tissue.
  • Cirrhosis: Continued chronic scarring of the liver that has caused it to reduce in size and the outer surface to become lumpy. This damage is permanent, irreversible and usually leads to liver failure and possibly even liver cancer.

Do NOT panic.

There’s a light before you start circling the drain .

The way to relief is painfully clear – and it hit me like a ton of bricks:

This is not just some static, never-changing malady named fatty liver disease.

As a sufferer of fatty live disease you’re progressing through the disease, slowly going from a one evil stage… to an even more evil stage.

The disease we have today is only a glimpse of a progression that’s occurring in our bodies.

It’s the end-stage of this disease that’s the real cause for alarm.

This is NO JOKING matter.

If you don’t take action NOW you could die!

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of deaths caused by fatty liver disease has gone up every year since 2007.

NO CURE

NO MEDICATION

NO THERAPY

It’s my own fault that I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease – and I’ve been reversing it, on my own………..and YOU can too!

All it takes is 28-days of commitment.
